Ives bitterly attacks 54 percent of voters day after election

Now the bailout of your junk rated government will accelerate in earnest as your favored sons and daughters use the rest of the state as an ATM to pay for your bloated, inefficient and corrupt institutions.

That’s really what last night was about.

In case the rest of you willfully uninformed voters across the state were confused about what is next.

Ive’s is mad because Breen lost. My issue is that if Rauner and Ive’s love there type of platform why not go to Indiana, Wisconsin or somewhere else? Clearly we are not interested in there type of government.

It’s even more difficult to be bipartisan or GOP in a state that still votes for the Democrats after the past horrible 20 years.

Rauner was the GOPs last hope.
He made the party of high taxes, big government, special interests, Blagojevich and Chicago look good. He destroyed the GOP from inside out.

Ives, Rauner, the IPI, Trib editorial board, Kass, etc., they’ve suffered immensely in Illinois, being in their lower socioeconomic caste. The beauty is that they can join the U-Haul parade and leave Illinois.

Just because Jeannie Ives was right about Bruce Rauner doesn’t mean she is right about anything else. Ives and her ilk have been just as damaging to the Republican Party as the Governor. It’s a circular firing squad at this point.

I think Ives is recognizing a much larger reality that doesn’t bode well for Republicans in this state right now. Previously they only had to write off the City of Chicago and parts of Cook County as areas they couldn’t compete. But increasingly they’re running into problems in Lake, DuPage, Kane and other collar counties. In that sense “Chicago” has taken on a much larger more depressing reality for Republicans.

Not the way I would have announced the start of my campaign for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2022, but I didn’t go to West Point, don’t live in Wheaton, and haven’t spent the last several years drawing a taxpayer-funded legislative salary.

Perhaps she was hacked? Or had consumed copious amounts of alcoholic beverages before she posted this? I personally would go with the hacker argument, and see if I could get Trump to claim the Democrats did it.

Who’s complaining? She got the result she wanted. This is simply Ives pivoting from reluctant Rauner voter to Ives for Governor 2022. No time to lose, and she probably believes the GOP nomination is owed to her. Always on the attack, always screaming at the wind. Has all the answers, but never the solutions.

I am not a fan of Ives by any means. However, when you ridicule an individual who served in our arm forces, you are out of line. Anyone can get free college. They only need to be brave and serve our amazing United States Military. Clearly you do not have any person in your family who was.

You’re just ahead of your time, Jeannie. Maybe. Remember, once upon a time, the voters of Illinois were outraged enough to vote Rauner into office. However, he also had the support (or rather, complacent attitude toward him) of Labor. Obviously, that complacency was not present yesterday. But looking at it the other way, a large chunk of voters still voted for Rauner yesterday DESPITE the past four years, so there is still a lot of outrage left in Illinois. If the state continues to spiral downhill, 2022 or 2026 will likely find enough outrage to elect someone like Jeannie. But what could she do to fix it by that point? Not much. The only thing that will save Illinois in the long run will be to reverse the trend of people and business leaving (and/or not coming) to the state. Whatcha gonna do ’bout that, JB?

Ives isn’t ahead of her time, she’s well past it. The state has seen her act before. It was called Alan Keyes and it ended badly.

Ms Ives lives in Wheaton, She probably has a VA loan, probably will get a check from the us military and state government, got that good free healthcare and her city would be a one horse town if it wasn’t a Chicago suburb. Im so happy she’s leaving the General assembly some her “u people ” when she talks about black people angered me to my core. I hope she moves to Italy, or Indiana. We don’t need her in our state. Lastly im sick and tired of how some pit chicago against the rest of the state we are ALL illinoisans, sorry for the rant.
