Regrettably the Governor’s scaled back health care plan will not pass. But because it loses by a significant margin he will have a moment of poltical rationality and opt not to prolong the agony of the overtime session.

  30. I think I predicted Aug. 1 way back in January. Now I’m going to say Aug. 3, before 6 p.m. (they won’t hang around another weekend)

Just wondering, how long has it been since the members last pulled the “stopping the clock” stunt… which I have heard about from those who have been around the Capitol way longer than me.

  42. It will actually be a 2-parter: a six-month bare bones budget approved sometime around the evening of Aug. 5th, and a supplemental budget that will be approved just before November to finish the year and cary out a reduced version of Rod’s combo platter.
