  9. True, Lightfoot needs to explain how the unpaid taxes reached the point liens were filed. I only wish Sneed would apply the same level of scrutiny, or any scrutiny for that matter, to the Burkes.

  12. ==Lightfoot needs to explain how the unpaid taxes reached the point liens were filed==

Read it. She did. In a city where they’ll file a lien for a red light camera, or speed zone camera ticket?? The culture of harassment is on the record. Maybe she’ll remember this and do something about it.

  13. The roster of poor decisions on St. Patrick’s Day knows no bounds.

Comment by Anonish Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 9:40 am

  14. I did read it. If Sneed is to be believed (I know, a stretch) Lightfoot’s campaign manager did not reply when asked as to how it got to the point liens were filed.

Comment by Independent Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 9:43 am

  15. I don’t get a vote in this race, but I found the Preckwinkle story linked more troubling than the Lightfoot one.

  19. A bleary Jerry replies to his wife “I took a picture with who?”

Comment by Jocko Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 10:25 am

  20. I’m not a fan of the Preckwinkle story. Her son and his family have issues with the neighbors. It smacks of unnecessarily dragging the candidate’s family through the mud, like what happened to Chuy 4 years ago.

  21. When certain people want to take a photo with you, remember the wise words of Nancy Reagan: “Just say ‘No’!”

Comment by Streator Curmudgeon Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 10:28 am

  22. ===unnecessarily dragging the candidate’s family===

Normally I’d agree with you, but an argument can be made that there’s a pattern here with Preckwinkle.

Comment by Rich Miller Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 10:37 am

  23. The relevance of the Preckwinkle story is in its first sentence. She owns the condo and apparently is not being responsive to her neighbors.

Comment by Ron Burgundy Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 11:04 am

  24. + Ron Burgundy, she also sat in on a court hearing for her son where the judge was one of her donors. I’m sure it was nothing but the men around Toni aren’t doing her a ton of favors.

Comment by Hammer Monday, Mar 18, 19 @ 11:10 am

  25. Mancow’s politics are pretty polarizing; it’s how he gets listeners but I can’t say that his appearance is a net plus or minus at this point.
