A new private post from @IllinoisPolicy tells members not to leak to the press, and ironically the group known for snark and insults say “there’s no room for ridicule.”

What a terribly hard life IPI members have had in Illinois, being from underprivileged areas and having no built-in advantages. And that oppressive state income tax that has been lower than most neighbors for decades. Then there’s the utter lack of opportunity in Chicago metro.

Apparently, the Illinois Sheriff’s Association is using the same playbook. I left respectful comments about the legalization of cannabis. They were pro-legalization comments, however, they were polite comments.

Heck, if you say it, expect that someone will leak it.
Hence, if you have ideas or plans that others may view as strange or offensive, don’t write them down and don’t tell anyone.
And so ends today’s advice to the best team that a bunch of rich conservatives can put together.

It’s different in that you can always make another comment later on Capital Fax that won’t be deleted. That’s not true for Illinois Policy or Lincoln Lobby.
