In Illinois, more than 30,000 people suffer from kidney failure. To highlight their needs, organizations from across the state have come together to create the Illinois Kidney Care Alliance (IKCA). IKCA is a coalition of health advocates and professionals, community groups, providers, and businesses focused on raising awareness of the needs of people who suffer from kidney failure and their loved ones.

IKCA is proud to have Dialysis Patient Citizens (DPC) as a member of the coalition. DPC is a nationwide, non-profit, patient-led organization helping dialysis and pre-dialysis patients and their families. With more than 28,000 members, DPC’s policies and mission are guided by their membership and focus their resources on caregivers, healthcare professionals and advocates.

Those currently on life-sustaining dialysis or waiting for a functioning kidney are among society’s most vulnerable people. IKCA’s goal is to help and protect dialysis patients and their families. For more information, please visit our website.
