I’m going to laugh when solidly blue states like New Jersey or Illinois hand over their electoral votes to a Republican based on the national popular vote.

Congratulation on bringing the Will County map article to the Blog. It was a marvelous restoration, a wonderful look at the past — to which we all should look from time to time — and a sane retreat from all the huggermuggery in which we find ourselves today.

Boy…quiet rides, new stations, plasma screens, real time tracking….the CTA seems to be drowning in money these days.

I’ve heard some encouraging stories about Bell’s palsy so I’m hopeful for Fritchey. He’s a good man and I’d hate to see him have to deal with this on a long-term basis.

You know, it really is a shame that the states have to go about a national popular vote THIS way. Don’t get me wrong–I’m glad that they’re doing it; but what the heck is wrong with our federal representatives? They should propose the necessary changes in order to simply ABOLISH the electoral college.
