Sunday update… Ronen not interested in DoC job

* I received a lot of calls, e-mails, etc. about this Sneed item in Friday’s Sun-Times…

Sneed has learned Gov. Blagojevich plans to appoint former state Sen. Carol Ronen the new director of the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Ronen, however, says the story was a “total surprise” to her, and claimed it was the first time she ever heard about it. Ronen said she has not been offered the spot, “nor would I seek or accept it.”

So, there you have it.
