Front tire for my tractor. Local dealers could not find any. Ended up with Chinese tire from Amazon

Many chemicals we sell as much citric acid is on ships, double ordered, and US only makes 65% and rest from China, Price gone from $0.83 per pound to over $4.00 if you can commit or can afford to. Have to see price in 2nd qt 2022.

We’ve had a few issues but they’ve been on bigger ticket items - a gas fire pit we ordered ended up getting cancelled and the bed we ordered for our spare bedroom in June still isn’t here - originally August, now saying December.
Oh, and there was no salami at the grocery store for *weeks*

I decided to remodel my bathroom went to buy new vanity basin shower and tub. Did this in August. I asked when I would get stuff. Salesman said mid to end of February. I said are you kidding he said do I look like I am laughing? I checked this week some stuff in but tub is still February or March.

Some friends of ours are in the middle of a gut rehab that started in May. It was originally a 6-8 month job but with all the delays they’ve had so far, they don’t expect to be back into their house until next summer

It’ll be arriving 7 days later than promised
I have new wing rubs/sauces I want to dry on air fried wings, especially this weekend with the college football conference championships, but I’ll have it for the holidays.

Kitchen flooring. Been 4 months and hopefully will arrive on December 7th, if not pushed out again. However the stove got here in 3 weeks.
Hamm’s, remember sneaking it out of Granddadds garage fridge, he kept the Bud in the kitchen fridge so we couldn’t snag it.

Wife wanted a CD player for Christmas, the kind that’s a component in a stereo setup. Even Best Buy only had a couple of choices, mostly out of stock.
In fairness, that might be because everyone’s moving to digtal music, so I’m not ready to blame the Port of Los Angeles just yet.

Everything—from supplies and materials for house remodel to potato chips and produce at the grocery store. Not to mention the fact that when we can find it, it’s 10% more expensive. Unreal.

I am trying hard not to buy anything made in China which helps me curtail my spending, but it is challenging. I recently bought bed linens and towels, all made in USA and no issue with supply chain!

Yes, we have no bananas. Perhaps some grocery items, nothing major. Was at a store the other day and it was fairly well-stocked.

Have been waiting on a new kitchen stove approximately 6 months. Still have a working one so no real biggie, and could find one in other places, but prefer to buy from local hardware/appliance store. They update me every week on what they get in, it’s hit and miss. Some things come within just a few weeks of ordering; some (like my stove) are just lost in space. Other than that, canning jar lids and rings were like gold bars earlier this year, and most currently apple juice has been out of stock my last few grocery shopping trips.

Cyclist and bike mechanic and parts are really hard to get. You cannot get somethings without a lot of work and expense. I repair guitars too but generally can get whatever I need for those but they tend to no rely on parts. The other thing is you just cannot go by somethings it is all warehouse order. Could be covid and changes in business.

Decided to buy a new fridge last month.
Big box stores had ‘display only models’, but nothing I could get same day. When I asked how long it would take, they said first week in december.
I asked to check the warehouse, and they had what I wanted in the warehouse. The warehouse was a 10 minute drive from where I was.
Picked up a rental truck for the day, and drove over to the warehouse and picked up and delivered my fridge myself.
I suppose ‘having enough employees who have stuck around to make deliveries from the warehouse’ would technically be part of the supply chain.

Was trying to get some clips to hang Christmas lights on the house, since part of the roofline is gabled and doesn’t have gutter to clip on to. Went to true value to get more of the same kind I bought 2 years ago. Manager apologized and said he tried to get that kind again but couldn’t. Had a very different kind in stock, they would make lights hang differently. Not sure if mixing them would work. Not having luck finding the original kind. Oh well. Back to the drawing board it seems.

Nothing essential. There have been times when we’ve had trouble finding moist cat food for the cat that needed it, and paper towels were recently scarce.

Hamm’s was probably my first beer. Way too young but my uncle was a beer truck driver for them. While at family parties at their house my cousin and I while getting beers for the adults we would sneak one for ourselves.
Besides that lumber is somewhat on back order.

Grocery store is randomly out of specific things. This soup and that brand of cereal.
At my factory we had a months worth of backlog on a product that needed a metal component shipped in.
Eventually they couldn’t wait for the ports and trucks any longer and got 128k lbs of it shipped from Italy by air.

A restaurant we frequent in Springfield has not been able to get onion rings from their supplier for months. Finally printed new menus without that appetizer listed. Bummer. They were our favorite appetizer.

No. fortunately the boiler we need in Iowa (cermak’s west compound) was in stock at the manufacturer, it’s on its way and will be installed Friday. We have been very fortunate that winter has come late this year. We got here for Thanksgiving only to realize that the heat was out. Since the boiler stems from the 70s and we had it fixed last year, we opted for a new one.
