Maybe things really are changing

* She makes a good point…

Maybe ComEd really *is* changing after facing a federal probe:
- Hires an outsider CEO(https://t.co/W85oH96WoS)
- who meets @GovPritzker not at a fancy fundraiser but @hideoutchicago
- facilitated not by connected lobbyists but ComEd employee/Chi social media phenom @6figga_dilla https://t.co/HD6QMwz8mF

Not that he’d likely be opposed to it, but I’m thinking Mike McClain never took Anne Pramaggiore to the Hideout to meet a governor.

  1. Love Dilla’s history work, but what’s he doing for ComEd and is it considered Lobbying

  11. The Gov should be careful about setting a social media meeting precedent. If he’s willing to meet with up with Comed to discuss Comed’s statehouse issues at a bar as a result of social media outreach, there’s probably a few other worthy groups that deserve the same treatment and a personal meet up.

  12. Glad to see The Hideout survived COVID-19. It is a special place and always a great place to catch some very good bands.
    Really doubtful anything is going to change regarding ComEd.
    In terms of the ComEd situation, The Illinois Commerce Commission is going to remain the Illinois ComEd Commission as long as JB is Governor.
    The USDA is doing a good job on exposing the ComEd culture ratepayers and taxpayers suffered under, but IMHO it feels like the same old relationship between our government and ComEd is comfortably still in place.

  14. I went on one of Dilla’s Chicago Mahogany tours on the fourth of July with my family and he was fantastic! I highly recommend his tours in you are in town.

    I remember attending the Hideout Block party 10 years ago with my 13-year old son with Wilco headlining. So happy they are surviving.
