  27. Think it is a darn good look. Hard to critique the outfit as I often dress like that.
Jacket could use a few more wrinkles, but all things considered Governor is looking sharply dressed for the Fair. My only suggestion would be adding a Sox hat.

Comment by DaddyP Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 11:17 am

  45. He threw a sportcoat over jeans and a button down. Who cares?

The jeans don’t fit well, and a billionaire should be able to get custom jeans that fit, but there a lot more important issues with JB Pritzker than his jeans.

Comment by Streator Curmudgeon Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 11:27 am

  53. Those are lace up Oxfords not loafers and the tan color is actually on trend. Wearing a necktie to the fair would be over dressing.

Denim with a sport coat is completely on trend currently, especially on Friday but should be tapered so you don’t look like you were just milking cows.

What polls is JB looking at that compelled him to raid Darren Bailey’s wardrobe?

Comment by Jibba Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:01 pm

  68. I was going to wear my Canadian Tuxedo, but the denim jacket is in the wash.

Comment by SAP Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:03 pm

  69. Agree that he is wearing a suit coat which only adds to the overall very cool look.
Thinking this is the guy I knew who I voted for who is comfortable in his own skin and knows how to get out and enjoy the fair.
Thinking perhaps an Illinois based green John Deere hat would go great with the brown shoes, comfortable pair of jeans, suit coat and checkered suit.

Comment by Back to the Future Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:07 pm

Comment by Blue Bayou Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:28 pm

  74. Now that JB has taken over the mantle from Speaker Madigan as the most powerful Democrat in Illinois, he needs to keep with the tradition and wear those pants at least 12 inches higher.

  76. LP made a joke!

Comment by Rich Miller Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:32 pm

  77. The jacket was suggested by someone else because they always put him behind a lectern for these speeches so the pants are cropped out in camera shots. Makes him slightly more formal for that idot presser or whatever, then he can drop the cost and walk the fairgrounds.

Comment by Give Us Barabbas Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:33 pm

  78. “Would you prefer I had worn shorts?”

Comment by Independent Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 12:35 pm

  82. “What the well-dressed man ISN’T wearing this season–full photo shoot inside.”

Seriously, I have limited fashion sense, and this just is so wrong on so many levels. JB looks like a used-car salesman/cowboy or something with this “I dressed myself, Mommy” look. He could have gone with some dark jeans and the dark sportcoat (both with better tailoring for his size; he can afford it), and dark shoes/boots.

Comment by thisjustinagain Friday, Aug 12, 22 @ 1:19 pm

  83. Oh my lord does he look awful and sloppy. Totally unprofessional. He’s comms team and wife deserve a swift reprimand for letting him leave the house like that.

  92. ===Wholly dishonest? You must have receipts I would love to see

Daily bud, we do this dance… daily.

Your own negativity is now spoof comedy.

===…pretending everyone is hanging on your every word so they know what to think?===

No one cares what I think, I write what I write for myself, knowing full well as Crash Davis told Nuke LaLoosh about his dad… “he’s as full of (redacted) as anyone”

No one is reading me. Get over yourself. It’s Rich’s work folks read.

=== Like putting your words in other people’s mouths===

I can’t help what you write.

A self edit of your thoughts might help you. Then you can clearly say your alternative facts
