  1. “The group’s registered legal agent is Chicago attorney John Fogarty–the same John Fogarty who is general counsel for the Illinois Republican Party.”

Looks like somebody’s a Fortunate Son.

  2. Call the Police…if you dare?

  3. ==Border protection officers seize counterfeit Super Bowl rings headed for Jerseyville, Illinois==

Ironically, those rings were headed for part of the heart of the former St. Louis Rams fanbase territory.

  4. “This game went as expected…”

Catholic High Schools did well in the IHSA football playoffs. They won 8A,7A,5A,4A,3A,and 2A. The only exceptions were East STL 6A and perennial champion Lena Winslow in 1A

  5. 6 of 8 playoff winning schools were private schools…and are allowed to recruit.

  6. ===While the Coalition to Cut Taxes isn’t registered with the elections board, it is registered as a not-for-profit with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office. The group’s registered legal agent is Chicago attorney John Fogarty–the same John Fogarty who is general counsel for the Illinois Republican Party.===

If Matt Paprocki at IPI was a coin, John Fogerty would be the other side of that same coin.

It’s about cashing checks, and keeping wheels greased so those checks don’t stop.

Ethically hollow, I grant you, but the checks cash the same.

  7. =Catholic High Schools did well in the IHSA football playoffs=

It is much easier when you recruit regionally versus a defined school district boundary. The IHSA is a weak sister and never does anything about recruiting. Not much to be proud of when you cheat.

Oh, and IC Elmhurst struggled when they had to move up to 4A.

  8. S/O to Isabel for the new roundup style. Big fan. Easier to read on the mobile.

  9. So what did Morrison do to get 300k is the question? Why didn’t Morrison help others get elected with the money seeing how that’s his job being the Cook County GOP Chairman? And if Griffin truly didn’t know then I’m sure he’s not happy. Either way Morrison and Fogarty have some explaining to do.

  10. ===Either way Morrison and Fogarty have some explaining to do.===

I don’t think so, as the grift and circle of grifters and electeds, who exactly do they have to explain this to?

Keep it mind, I think it’s ridiculous.

Ridiculous or not, as an example, the Chicago GOP endorses Democrats constantly for mayor, the CCGOP has yet to field a slate of note that isn’t retreads or nobodies…

… and nary a peep from, well, anyone.

Proft’s biggest mistake, going back to Ives-Rauner… was getting so big that Proft was getting on the radar… his newspapers with Timpone, the coziness with “Statehouse Chick”, Kass, the Tribune silly…

Had Proft merely been the bagman and ran mediocre ads to appease Uihlein, this microscope into IPI, Fogerty, Proft, Timpone… they woulda been “notes at the bottom of the page”.

Proft shoulda cleared, easily, “high seven figures” for himself on the ads alone.

And like Prof. Harold Hill, Proft left.

Why shouldn’t Morrison, Fogerty, Paprocki, Proft, why shouldn’t they get in on the cash? Who’s calling them out?

Of course, I’d take “half, but in cash” but no one is emailing me …and that whole ethics thingy with who the donors are, but I check my emails, lol

  11. “It’s a perfectly innocent mistake officer. The Chinese factory just made a mistake — these rings were supposed to say Super Bowel Champion.”

  12. ESL is a classy football team. They understand how good they are and once again they asked to play up a couple classes from their assigned class. They deserve a lot of credit for their over the top ethical decisions.

  13. I love that photo. Congrats to East St. Louis for another state championship. That’s number 10. Well done Flyers.
