  2. Rodgers sure seems to enjoy owning the Bears

  3. Right now, some of these losses are about “finishing the game”, the others are about competing at a level the football team can’t reach with the talent currently constituted.

Yesterday was about a Packers team that knew how to close out… late score, hold on defense (get a turnover).

Football is a field position game predicated on the offense moving the football to score and the defense holding up their end of the bargain for the team by not allowing “scores”

There was a lot of bad going on at Soldier yesterday.

  5. Eight losses in a row to the Packers. If a team has no success and high turnover of GM’s, coaches and players for decades, I wonder where the problem lies. Are we fans the fools to expect it to be different after it keeps happening over and over with this ownership?

  6. I know the barstool thinking is keep losing because better draft picks will improve the team, but with the Bears ownership-level decision making (stuck in the 1930’s) that’s not a given with this team. I do want better draft picks since this season was a lost one (trading Mack before they played a game proved that to anyone paying attention), but you couldn’t hold a 9 point lead heading into the fourth quarter against the ONE TEAM all Bears fans want a win against? It’s like watching the fourth quarter of a preseason game (with the exception of a small handful of “starters”) with these free agents and castoffs from other teams ( yes I still watch mainly to see Field’s development, but days later with my finger constantly on the fast forward button).

  7. =we got zero pressure on rodgers yesterday=

Not unique to yesterday and was the case when Quinn and Roquan were still in the fold too. Front 7 talent is less than replacement-level, just trash. And while I would’ve loved to see the Packers go down yesterday, a win won’t do a thing for a 3-9 team. They need all of the talent they can get and a 2 is *way* more valuable than a 7.

I saw what I needed to yesterday. Fields still has the speed and those two deep balls were beautiful

  8. With the Bears’ first pick they need the best pass rusher in the draft. I think it’s a guy from Alabama. Pick #2 is the best available tackle to protect Shields. His running is great but he has to get better in the pocket to take the offense to a new level, and preserve himself.

  9. Thankful for the upcoming bye week so I won’t have to waste my time this Sunday afternoon /s

But that TD run by Fields… wow.

  10. === I know the barstool thinking is keep losing because better draft picks will improve the team===

Bears won’t admit to “tanking” but I didn’t see any tears or spent Bear players who left it all on the field after that game

  12. To add insult to injury, I saw an article that the Packers passed the Bears for the most NFL wins of all time with their 787th regular season win. The Bears had lead the NFL in total wins since 1921.

  13. It’s hard to give up 3-4 hours of your time/life for continued disappointment. I chose to clean my house and do laundry that waste my time.

How did that last #2 overall pick work out for you guys?
