Normal continues to have a lot of convoluted nonsense happening as part of the fallout from the war between disgruntled local conservatives and the town council and staff.

As a result of a court ruling that determined this group was not allowed to put a referendum on the ballot to change the at-large form of govt. to a ward system, three conservatives filed petitions for offices that don’t even exist/aren’t elected in Normal - and now there will be even more litigation to sort that out.
