It’s a lovely warm, sunny day here on the south side of Chicago, and looks like it will be through the weekend. Couldn’t ask for more.

Beautiful weather here in West Central Illinois, but we need bad weather. We need rain, desperately. The farm field that surrounds my home is a lot dustier than I am used to seeing. The corn crops are already about a foot tall, but the leaves are starting to show stress.
Pray for Rain (wasn’t that the name of a band a while back?).

Property tax season is starting. Tax bill hit the mailbox today.

My insurance coverage hit the mailbox yesterday. In 18 years, my premiums have more than doubled. When I read the statement, it says the house I bought for $100,000 eighteen years ago would cost $400,000 to replace today.
I bet I can’t sell it for that much.
