  1. Gettin’ the webex fired up this morning to watch what is sure to be a train wreck of a county board meeting in Will county, as some board members still seem intent on using their county board positions to recognize ‘Moms For America’ during a meeting.

You know, just regular Will County stuff.

  4. Anybody know a good rain dance? The other day we got about a quarter of an inch and then I noticed some wildflowers blooming.

  5. I’m getting to be too old to stay awake long enough to watch White Sox games on the west coast. Toughed it out last night to see a nice comeback win.

  7. To Dog Lover’s rain dance question: We got some rain in the last 2 days in the 60827, and the first Tiger Lilly in my yard was seen blooming. But we could use some more (and not a mega-downpour all at once).

  8. Steve Balich is currently speaking at the end of the Will County Board meeting.

    He’s defending Moms For America.

    But he let something slip.

He threw the county exec under the bus as the one who is responsible for pulling all the proclamations off the agenda. Including Juneteenth and Pride month.

Others on the board, including Democratic members, are stating the county executive saw it as a ‘compromise’ to include Moms For America and included it in the proclamations, as well as removed all proclamations when the demands to remove Moms For America started coming from other board members.

Additionally, it has been stated there are no rules for how to add proclamations to the agenda and it is up to the whim of the county exec alone.

Now I see why someone contacted Rich to so desperately try to distance the county exec from this situation, that an addendum was added to his post last week that the county chairs add events to proclamations - even though nobody had even mentioned the county exec in any of the comments last week.
