The state Ethics Commission will allow Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s staff to review former tollway chief Brian McPartlin’s request for a waiver from the “revolving door” law to take a new job.

McPartlin’s last day with the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority was Oct. 24. He left the agency to accept a job with McDonough Associates Inc., an engineering and architectural firm that’s received more than $30 million in contracts with the tollway.

  1. Money for red lights and PR firms but eliminate the trolleys. That’s right, if people are riding free trolleys they aren’t running red lights. What Chicago hubris.

  2. Fast Eddie is old school. For a guy his age to face some serious time, even at Club Fed, without flipping is what used to be called a stand-up guy.

  3. $50 million for PR is a complete waste of taxpayer money especially in the city’s presnt fiscal situation. Czar Daley should be ashamed he is laying people off/reducing services. Aldercreatures should raise “heck” and refuse to fund Daley’s PR machine.
