Find out if Alex Blagojevich is related to Rod Blagojevich. He keeps popping up on my Google News searches but I have yet to remember to ask anyone about it.

  1. Don’t know, but in today’s Peoria Journal Star, G-Rod told the mayor-elect of Peoria, Jim Ardis that his brother is a Republican.

  2. By MICHAEL BRENNER STAFF WRITER. When he first came to Springfield, Alex Blagojevich did not want to be known as the Illinois governor’s nephew. …

    Quality kid. Hard working and down to earth. Let’s hope he follows his dad’s political party and sees his Uncle Guv is nothing more than a lying, slimy, greedy snake.

  5. Look into Milan Petrovic

  6. If he is a quality kid, hardworking, and down to earth he would figure to be a pretty distant relative.

  7. what about milan petrovic? is he clean?

  8. So Miller your posse is asleep on the horse when it comes to keeping out mindless slander. Anonymous must have been thinking about Tom Delay when he posted the “lying slimy greedy snake” line.

  9. I think that most of the people in Illinois agree that the Gov. is a, “lying slimy greedy snake”, “mindless slander” no, our Gov. Yes.

  10. Glad to see there’s still some spirit and a little bit of color left here!

  11. Posse Note: I think it’s technically libel, not slander, and if people want to portray themselves as third-graders on the playground, why should we stand in their way?

    So, for the literal record:
    – the Gov isn’t a reptile;
    – the Comptroller isn’t organic contruction material;
    – the Treasurer isn’t a near-sighted savannah inhabitant;
    – the Deputy Gov is not a terrestrial amphibian, and
    – our Jr. Senator is not a dense mass of burning hydrogen in the waxing heavens.

    Everyone feel better?

  12. Oh no! Capiotl fax posters disparage gov with anonymous comment calling him “lying, slimy, greedy snake”!! Quick, get CMS sending out e-mails to state employees telling them to make sure all their friends post on Capitol fax and write letters that the guv is a honest, clean benevolent human being!

  13. Is the brother specifically banned from dealing with waste dumps and land fills or only Dick Mell?

    Comment by Anonymous Friday, Apr 15, 05 @ 12:33 am

  14. I was upset about the negative references to slimy snakes and our Governor. I thought most people knew, by now, that snakes are NOT slimy at all, and they are certainly not capable of lying! The anonymous poster had better be concerned that the snake lovers will be up in arms about the tragic comparison!

    My trigger finger was on the *zap* button, but, I decided to let it go…

  15. Yeah somehow the only one that took offense to that comment was Pete, who collects a sizeable check from the Blago campaign.

    Imagine that!

    Simple name calling doesnt cross my threshold for taking down a post. The “governor” should be used to it by now.

  16. Isn’t it funny how the worst of the comments are anonymous?

    It’s funny how some folks won’t even come up with a blog handle so everyone can follow along with what are surely patterns of interesting and insightful morsels of commentary…

  17. At least Giangreco isn’t reading this blog while on the taxpayers dime. Well, at least not directly. He is, however, paid from a campaign fund that receives the majority of its funds from companies and individuals doing business with the State of Illinois. Now that’s “Reform and Renewal”!!!!

  18. In my mind PSD, calling him “‘governor’” is much harsher than comparing him to a reptile, which is why I like the biology lesson instead.

    The personal attack on Shiela Simon was another story, and I’m glad it’s gone.
