Hillside evacuating nursing home and apartments. Lombard declared disaster area by mayor. Chicago suburbs with 4 plus inches of rain. 45 foot sinkhole on south side of Chicago with a car driven into it when it was at 25 feet…night….and then it opened up more. stay safe everyone.

What Amalia said. Eastern DuPage County has really been whacked. If I didn’t drive a big SUV, I wouldn’t have been able to get out of my town. As it is, it took me almost 20 minutes to travel the equivalent of 4 blocks.

Keep the pumps running people. And like Amalia says, “stay safe.”
