* We will have a live feed of Rich’s annual holiday speech to the City Club of Chicago. The festivities begin at around noon. I will try to do some live blogging when he starts speaking, but you can follow along here…
* I would be remiss not to repeat Rich’s request that speech attendees bring a toy with them to donate to the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois toy drive. You and I are not in the room, but we can still help the organization that has time and again earned many accolades from the blog master himself. What a tough day for Rich Miller to make a public appearance. I hope that there is a respectable audience for the speech despite the frigid Chicago weather. It has been awful for the past week.

The only way to semi-verify that Modest Proposal would be for the Dems to nominate Lisa Madigan as their candidate. If Rauner loses both Mikey and Bruce go away, for certain. But if Rauner wins … Illinois’ version of mortal combat rages on.
