  1. I find Durbin’s spot exploitive. It was a vehicle for the visuals of the wounded soldier, to somehow transfer our sympathy for him to recognition of Durbin as a good guy.

    You’re supposed to be for helping wounded soldiers; you don’t get extra points for that and you sure don’t have to pat yourself on the back in a campaign commercial.

    If you had to fight for it in the Senate, tell us how and then have the family member give a testimonial. Or tell us how in Senate leadership you were way ahead of the Washington Post in fixing the disgraceful conditions (non-Congress-wing) at Walter Reed (you were, right?).

  2. So Peraica gets caught again using someone else’s image in an advertisement without their prior approval. It’s almost like he doesn’t have any of his own supporters to put in pictures.
