A large private party at the Illinois State Fairgrounds turned violent early Sunday morning, with police reporting more than 20 shots fired and four people stabbed.
Capt. Jerry Felts of the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office said it’s fortunate nobody was shot or more seriously injured in the hail of gunfire.
Deputies discovered dozens of spent shell casings, as well as bullet-hole damage to the Illinois Building, a bullet hole through a window in the Expo Building and several vehicles shot.
The four people who were stabbed all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and have been released from the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office. […]
The violence stemmed from a fight that erupted during a party at the Illinois Building, attended by at least several hundred people, Felts said.
Yikes.

That ol trash can van looks as flawless as the day it rolled off the lot. Not a scratch or ding anywhere. Even the upholstery is perfect (with dogs??). It’s like it has hardly ever been used outside of photo ops.
Oh wait, I bet he keeps it in that impeccably clean garage/workshop of his.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Rauner has decided to alternate between their 7 or 10 mansions as opposed to moving into the fairgrounds house.

I have zero worry for the safety of the Guvn’r out there. He’ll just dress up in his cowboy outfit and put a six shooter on his side and walk the premises tah keep’er safe. Just like the regular taxpayers in downstate Illinois that he so closely resembles.

Why do I have trouble believing that he: #1 moved more than two bags, #2 will drive that van again any time soon, and #3 will spend a significant time living in that house…maybe I’m wrong, but really…
I wonder what would happen if he let someone else move his stuff while he worked out a balanced budget?

Bruce starts moving personal items to the trashcan van so they will be with them at the Fair Grounds, Bruce loads a ecxtra U-Haul just for the everyday costumes. Diana writes a check for she and Bruce to a Social Service organization, complains that the font is too small recognizing their contribution. Diana’s State Emoloyee has a housewarming gift placed in the Fair Grounds house sent by “friends”. Lance tweets pictures of the loading of the van to Bruce’s opponents entitled “Show on the Road”, “ck” shows new operators of the Rauner Word Jumble the “Bruce words” that mean veto without saying veto. Goldberg writes a letter to Moody’s. Comedy, 62 minutes.

The notion that he is packing and moving his stuff himself is too ridiculous for anyone to believe.

Can’t some of you guys ever cut the guy an ounce of slack? Woulda been easy to lease a nice condo out my way or at Panther Creek, but no, he chose to stay in State property.

My mom was privy to the scene when the Edgars’ were moving out, Mrs. Edgar stayed to just as long as the cameras were there and then promptly left it to the help. I’m sure it’s the same with the Rauners and every other politician who has ever lived in Illinois.
