When you put Devore’s rhetoric in the context of what’s going on in the world today and his definition of “needless suffering” who have an even greater appreciation for how callous he is as a human being.

And the thing is, all these folks just talk to people that believe the same thing, so they are convinced their view is the prevailing view. It’s not how a healthy democracy works.

Only those “pure of faith” can be so vile and ugly.
Those who stray from the purity are excommunication, those who don’t follow the faith are demonized.
So navy this election cycle, including DeVore, are those who need to be defeated to give Illinois a chance at a future beyond so much ugly…

I want to “go high” but this guy makes it impossible. I’ll just pick low-hanging fruit and say that a very basic qualification I want in my Attorney General is the ability to correctly form a sentence and use punctuation.

I know this is beside the point, but if Pritzker is a “tyrant” then wouldn’t the emergency rules be his, not hers? Would be a pretty soft tyrant who just rubber-stamped expert opinion.
I know DeVore isn’t thinking his statements through that deeply because he can’t even stop to copyedit. I guess I still naively hope that candidates for office would think twice before throwing out the most extreme rhetoric possible, even if just for the purpose of avoiding Boy Who Cried Wolf problems.

Wasn’t one of the pillars of Devores claim that the governor was acting unilaterally, without input or discussion with IDPH?
Now suddenly the IDPH was making these decisions and not the governor.
Maybe I’m misremembering the details of his filing, so I’ll have to go back and look. I should know better than to try to find a logical consistency in what he’s doing, but something seems off here.

Thank you Dr Egizi for leading us responsibly through this awful pandemic making decisions based on science and medicine and not by morons in red baseball caps. I want smart people like you giving me input about my health. I hate to think what would happen to us if the flat earth people were making policy instead of public health officials.

If it weren’t for the meddling of Tom Devore, Dr. Ezike and the other members of the elite scientists club would be getting away with our lifetime plans to have people to wear masks and socially distance. Ever since we convinced people to refrain from eating nails, the elite have dreamed of pulling this kind of fast one on the godly masses. Back to plan B. The sheep will soon be unwilling to enjoy the simple, godly pleasure of sticking their fingers in electric sockets.
