.@NRSC @kevinartl I know you can't relate to having popular and well-liked national leaders, but this is embarrassing #ILSen

.@md_mcgrath totally embarrassing. Figured he'd go to NV, PA or NC. But nope. Potus to #ilsen because 👉👉@TammyforIL #underperforming.

I hope Kirk wins, if for no other reason so Artl can see what it feels like to win a race for once.

Remember the #4 rule of Twitter in Campaigns…

If I knew it would help, I’d send some cannoli.

The GOP doesn’t like this for one obvious reason which is Obama is popular at home and it may help. Maybe Duckworth is “panicking” because the recent polls have her ahead.

There was a lengthy op-ed article about Duckworth’s lackluster performance in the Nadig newspapers today. While she leads in the polls, Tammy does not have a majority in any poll and a few polls are close to the margin of error. Kirk is struggling, but the real story is how Duckworth failed to put this one away weeks ago. Maybe McGrath is part of the problem. Duckworth had numerous advantages in the race, but is not capitalizing.

“Usually, a month from any election, there is a discernible trend line. One candidate is fading, the other is beginning to surge, and the undecided voters are breaking, which is causing the surge.
Not this year in the Illinois Senate contest. Both candidates are stagnating, and their trend lines are amazingly flat. Incumbent Republican Mark Kirk can’t even reach 40 percent in the polls, which means that he’s not fading, but that he may have already hit his ceiling. However, Duckworth is doing barely better, she has run an insipid campaign, and she barely reaches 40 percent.
The Emerson poll published on Sept. 22 had Duckworth up 41-39 percent. The Loras poll published on Sept. 20 had Duckworth up 41-36 percent. A GS Strategy Group poll published in late March had Duckworth up 43-39 percent. Despite a deluge of television ads, costing each campaign about $2 million, there has been no movement in 6 months. Democratic strategists in Washington, as well as Duckworth’s mentor, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, are perplexed. They can’t understand why Duckworth is not pulling away.”
Russ Stewart’s op-ed in today’s Nadig Press.

You must not have been here yesterday: “This race showed Duckworth with a lead of 48 percent to Kirk’s 34 percent among likely voters.”

I can’t see what purpose that statement serves for the Kirk campaign: who is it supposed to persuade of what to advance your cause?
I also see absolutely no reason for the Duckworth people to respond to it.
