Kirk already running cable ads
Wednesday, May 13, 2015 - Posted by Rich Miller * I just got this from the folks at Comcast…
Attempting to get the spot. Watch this space. …Adding… The Kirk campaign says it won’t be distributing the TV ad until tonight.

He has and will continue to get plenty of money from businesses and the RNC.
He has moved very far to the Left (at least for Republicans) so it appears that he thinks he has the primary sewn up.
He may be very, very wrong!

Who are they trying to reach with this?

Looks like Duckworth needs to get moving.

Everyone in the greater Chicago area who watches cable news?
Not to be snarky, but the buy info is right there. Seems pretty obvious, and probably good value for the money if his team thinks they need to remind people of who he is before anyone else (cough, Duckworth) gets the ball rolling.
At that price and duration, he’s probably getting something on the order of half a dozen spots per network, per day depending on the details.
Recall of whatever he puts up won’t be any good, but if he can (re-) build some positive name ID and good feelings with CNN / MSNBC voters it’s probably a reasonable strategy.

The strategy of targeting viewers watching cable news is bizarre. I would assume most people watching those three networks already know which way they’re voting.

Oh no….

Kirk needs to remind us what he’s done because I can’t think of a thing.

Well, he did vote against extending unemployment benefits to those struggling to get by and still looking for work. He also signed a letter sent to the Iranian government attempting to undermine the President’s ability to strike a deal with Iran on nuclear weapons.

Federalist, I hope you’re wrong about Kirk getting money from the RNC. Before the primary, the RNC should be neutral.

That’s funny
