The biggest news today was probably a failed attempt by the Senate Democrats to allow stem cell research - the floor amendment fell two votes short of passage. Meanwhile, the Illinois State Rifle Association had a pretty good week, and the group crows about it here. On Tuesday, Nov. 16, the Illinois House overrode Gov. Blagojevich’s veto of SB2165 - the Homeowner Protection Bill.
