He still wants more of a legacy. Specifically he wants to finish school reform and make serious inroads into homelessness and jobs within the City. I doubt he stays around forever, but he’s got at least one more term in him.
I agree, Daley seeks one more term to break his father`s record of 21 years in office (1955-1976). Much of this depends on how far along US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has progressed into the burgeoning list of City Hall scandals, but I really don`t believe Daley will be found personally culpable, unlike our hapless former Governor, George Ryan. I also don`t put a lot of credence into a possible Mayoral challenge by Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.

of course he does! What else does he do? Ride his bike around the lakefront? He’ll die in office like his Papa. Long live King Richard II!

He will run again in 2007. He’s also sending a case of a new, high-energy drink to his Springfield lobbying team: Rod Bull.

Sure he runs again. The guy’s made out of teflon, and I’m sure there are plenty of dead folks and house pets that aren’t ready to see him retire yet.

Jesse Jr. could beat him
HDO could take him down
