Slammed
Friday, Mar 18, 2005 - Posted by Rich Miller The Daily Southtown and the Tribune editorial pages both take up the subject of Governor Rod Blagojevich’s attack on Mayor Daley’s staff this week. From the Southtown: At times it appears that Gov. Rod Blagojevich wants some Democrat to step forward and challenge him in a primary next year when he’s up for re-election. And the Tribune: He might as well have criticized Daley for not telling the governor the state legislature was in session that day. Lobbyists, including the governor’s lobbyists, are paid to know what’s going on in the House and Senate at all times. It was silly of him to shift blame.

The Governors office did assume some of the fault for the communication breakdown between the state police and the governors office on the bills in question. But the Governor did make a very valid point — im sure that when o’hare expansion was making its way through the chambers lobbyists from the city had the govs staff on speed dial. there is enough blame to go around here.
Dems need to get on the same page and work as a team. Somebody needs to get that message out to these egomaniacs before the state is handed back to the right to work republicans.

The state will be handed back to Republicans because of Blagojevich’s arrogance, corruption and political stupidity.
