Blogger is mega screwed-up yet again today. I’m totally sick of dealing with these incompetent morons and seriously considering moving to another service.
I know the Cross guys like 1871, but the RSS funkiness it generates makes it a non-starter for me. Standards work when they’re implemented well, and all I get with Cross’s feed is a headline (no content, no links).
As for Trackbacks, it’d be nice if the spammers would just stay away. I just think MT is a strong, viable platform that is built to scale, a database backend that makes it robust (and fast), and has hundreds of extensions that let you tweak it in interesting ways.
As for “the nerds will claim MT”, I will punish Chris/Jake for that comment this evening at the lawyer/blogger dinner…

The nerds will claim MT, but the content manager that I use is wonderfully easy and powerful.
However….I haven’t figured out how to write in the code for ‘trackbacks’….

I’ve been looking into Typepad:
http://www.sixapart.com/typepad/
It’s just under $50/year but it might be worth it.

Perhaps taking this blog down and never speaking of it again would be the best option?

I use Wordpress and my own domain. Not too hard to set up and any problems are usually mine.

ISP is http://www.bgfweb.com/main/

I’m talking to Rhodes’ guy today. We’ll see what it looks like, but I’m leaning that way.
