- Hello - Wednesday, Feb 8, 06 @ 6:17 am:
Why doesn’t Springfield pass a law stating that all nursing home residents must be bathed three times a week? They can call the bill the “Nursing Home Bill of Rights”. This will play well in the suburbs, as many suburban couples have their elderly parents in homes. They have contracted out the care of their parents to the nursing home, just as they have contracted out the care of their children to the school system.
Frankly, I don’t see how the bill could lose. Reps in Springfield will race to be co-sponsors in this election year.

Once again, Lt. Gov. Quinn, how’s that veterans benefits program coming along?
I won’t hold my breath waiting for an answer. You said and/or did nothing when it surfaced that veterans lawful right to jobs was taken from us. Pathetic.
But maybe the truth is that political puffery is your game, too.

AFCSME for Topinka!, Veterans for Eisendrath!, What is going on here?
With all the high paid lobbyists and great political thinkers that AFCSME employs with member dues, they sure have pulled a stupid move. Watch for SEIU to be the dominant public employee union in this state for years to come.
My guess is that it should be Veteran (singular) for EE.
We haven’t even started yet. The governor has been too busy running the state and working on the budget while eddie and the repubs have been “campaigning” full time.
It is a good strategy. Let them all make fools of themselves and then ride to the rescue. Against this field Rod looks statesmanlike. His record as gov is great and he will run on it while ignoring the whacko opposition.
Bring it on!

Regarding Stanek: You would get a lot of hits if you put Butz on the site. You need to decide if that is the sort of traffic that you want. She has claimed that our governor affirmatively favors pedophiles over victims, she has claimed that abortion is scheme to kill off the African American race, and she has claimed that abortion is simply a money making operation.
The site needs to decide what it wants. But if you do like her traffic, I hear David Duke wants to blog from jail. Give him a ring. You would get a ton of hits.
