Obviously it’s not as big a deal here as it would be in New Orleans… but did anyone else notice that Super Tuesday is also Fat Tuesday, aka Mardi Gras?
In fact there’s at least one “Super Fat Tuesday” election night/Mardi Gras bash planned in Chicago tonight. Google the words “Super Fat Tuesday” to find some interesting articles.

Are any of the papers or web sites going to be doing live election night coverage of State legislative primaries?

I doubt it. They’ll have results, which I’ll post here. But they rarely cover those primaries - which is why I exist.

Of course there’s going to be cheating on the lotteries to get into those schools. Those are the best schools in CPS and there just aren’t enough of them. Most of the general neighborhood schools just don’t even come close. CPS should build more of those schools, that would solve the cheating problem.
