“It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure we are in error,” Illinois Tollway mouthpiece McGinnis said.

As badly tanrished as rezko is, I am surpsied how none in the Media have shown where there is corroborating information from other witness’s and documents not subject to the whims of levines memory. For instance board memebrs saying that levine would deliver the marching orders of rezko!

From the Washington Post story — a very odd sentence. Non sequitur upon non sequitur.

“DALEY: This is not about Mayor Daley and Brendan Reilly, this is about children. And when he has children he’ll understand that some day.
Reilly’s chief of staff said the alderman would have no comment. ”
Appropriate response by Reilly.

So, if you miss a 40 cent toll the Tollway sends you a bill for twenty bucks. (Whether or not you actually violated is another story)
Question: What happens if you owe the Tollway alot of money, BUT, you’ve conveniently sent a nice donation to Blagojevich’s campaign fund?
Answer: They let you slide. No penalties, no fines. In fact, you don’t have to pay hardly anything. Just ask the operators of the Tollway oases.

“famously unsavory state capital” Maybe this should replace the Land of Lincoln slogan.

Rich, thanks for posting the two stories regarding the Green Party. It’s interesting to see two pieces coming at the story from entirely different angles.

“This isn’t about Brendan Reilly, this is about the fact that he has no children.”
Hurray for that!! That’s one less Chicago politician trying to line his family’s pockets with city contracts and jobs.
