    –fair and balanced–

    you’re banned. :)

  3. - comcastic? - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:24 pm:

Speaking of comcast, they raised their internet rate to $45 per month here. Is there anyone out there in the Sangamon area who knows of an equivalent alternative to comcast?

  4. - Vote Quimby! - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:28 pm:

Dang it….they tried to stop me from slinging it here. Now I’ve got to find another identity.

  5. - Skeeter - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:29 pm:

Massa was fastest in the morning session at Magny-Cours, with the Renault doing well in the afternoon. BMW was disappointing in light of the 1-2 finish Canada, running no higher fifth.

Oh, I’m sorry. I misread the post. I thought this was about sports that matter.

  6. - Mike - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:34 pm:

Can it be a tie….neither deserve to win….GO CARDS

  7. - Lurker - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:37 pm:

Has anyone actually attended to a cubs/sox matchup? Talk about your hostile environment. I’ve had to take a few years off.

  8. - Speaking at Will - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:40 pm:

The bleachers at the Sox park during a Cubs vs. Sox game, is alot like the atmosphere in the Capitol. Alot of screaming and yelling, with little effect on the result of the game.

  9. - Dan S, a voter and Cubs Fan - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:42 pm:

3-1 Sox bottom of 3. Teddy had a rough top of 3.

  10. - Rich Miller - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:47 pm:

SAW, as opposed to goat park where nobody even watches the game. Just sayin

  11. - wordslinger - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:48 pm:

AJs a Cub killer. He’s got his Dahmer eyes today.

  12. - Ghost - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:49 pm:

Comcastic, I have not used it, but there is a service called Xanadoo in sangamon that advertises a now cheaper rate. They are a completly wireless intrnet provider.

  13. - wordslinger - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:56 pm:

Lurker, I went a couple of years ago at Wrigley and it wasn’t bad. I didn’t hang in the bars afterward.

The worst was when the Yankees came to Wrigley in 2003. Lots of New Yawkers displaying the worst stereotypical behavior you could imagine. Saw a couple of instances where Chicago’s Finest enthusiastically and vigorously removed a couple of louts to the cheers of the home fans.

  14. - The Doc - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 2:56 pm:

Blago’s got to be at the Friendly Confines today, no? Watch out for the falling concrete, guv!

  15. - Speaking At Will - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:06 pm:

At least Chicago teams have people at the game. A moment of Silence for K.C. Royal fans out there…..

  16. - Yellow Dog Democrat - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:08 pm:

The new video competition act requires comcast to give you your choice of appointments and a four hour window. Its enforceable by the Attorney General. Maybe you should file a complaint?

    From Citizen Action - Illinois:

“Requiring all companies to offer customers a choice of guaranteed times for installation
and service appointments, which must either a specific time or, at a maximum, a four hour
time block during evening, weekend and normal business hours;”

  17. - Levois - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:13 pm:

Heh, I got away from baseball for an hour to watch Jerry Springer. Now I’m back. Hmm I should see what the score is right now!

  18. - EXTRA INNINGS - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:28 pm:

Will there be a meeting of the White Sox caucus next week in Springfield when the legislature is back in session?

  19. - Vote Quimby! - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:31 pm:

    Is Kenny Chesney from Chicago?
My nominee for the worst 7th-inning stretch singers: the WAAAZUP guys from Budweiser. I think they should stop it or just play the organ.

  20. - Vote Quimby! - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:31 pm:

  21. - Jaded - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 3:47 pm:

  24. - Levois - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 4:22 pm:

Man if it wasn’t for me being on this PC and not paying attention to the WGN broadcast I’d actually notice it was a tie game in the 9th!

  25. - Vote Quimby! - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 4:25 pm:

    Booyah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I;m so baaaaanned!

  26. - The Guild of Calamitous Intent - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 4:25 pm:

  28. - Six Degrees of Separation - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 4:27 pm:

  29. - Capitol View - Friday, Jun 20, 08 @ 4:27 pm:
