He is not being frugal!!! If he were frugal, he would have just put a smaller, blank label over the Lt on his Lt Gov stationary. Now that would have been cheap!

Lesson 1: There’s a line between being frugal and looking cheap and un-gubernatorial, and I reckon it just got crossed.
He did the same thing when he was Lt. Gov. putting his name over Corrine Wood’s. Although I’m not sure that it saves the state any money (still need to print stickers and have somebody place them on all the envelopes), I think it shows Quinn’s heart is in the right place. Of course, I’d be even more happy if I thought his head was in the right place.
Rich, by the way, very robust blog today — and posted before the sun was up! I take it you pulled an all nighter. I’m sure Dr. Nick would prescribe a lager lunch and an afternoon nap.
I have no doubt he is doing this for effect. As bad off financially as the State of Illinois is in I think we can afford new stationery for the Governor.

When Blago came in agencies under his domain destroyed anyything and everything with the previous admin name on it no matter what it was…letterhead, maps, publication, brochures, employees etc. That was a REAL waste.
