  1. - Yellow Dog Democrat - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:35 pm:

Senator Murphy’s bills are all dead already.

    Let me doublecheck….

  2. - Retired guy - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:36 pm:

    Senate Bill 1313.

  3. - Pot calling kettle - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:41 pm:

Perhaps some Madigan/Cross bill on pension reform, but Madigan does not allow the language to be seen until he’s ready to pass it, soooooo…..

  4. - Desert Dweller - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:44 pm:

HB4513 - selfishly, I don’t want to pay double what I’m paying now into retirement.

  5. - Pot calling kettle - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:47 pm:

Actually, I should broaden that comment. Many of the bills I had objection to early in the session, lie dead in committee. However, I know that the language I found objectionable could pop up as an amendment. This seems to be the path taken by some of the most objectionable of bills. So, it’s not so much a bill I would like to see killed as the method in which objectionable bill language finds its way to the floor with little or no time for objections to be registered.

  6. - Cincinnatus - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:48 pm:

Anything having to do with road kill. Oh, look, a squirrel!

  7. - Skeeter - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:55 pm:

Anything related to cell phones and driving. We already have enough similar laws.

  8. - Beef_Eater - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:55 pm:

    stripper tax

  9. - gathersno - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 1:56 pm:

SB 3564 - The Senator Forby bill that would not allow the Governor to close state facilities without legislative approval. This is a bad bill which not only breaches the balance of power but would block the needed closure of all outmoded institutions for persons with developmental disabilities.

  10. - jt - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:06 pm:

    Minimum wage

  11. - That Guy - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:12 pm:

Everything on the agreed resolution list. Just to be disagreeable.

  12. - 47th Ward - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:18 pm:

SB3773, Sandoval’s attempt to make all nonprofits de facto state agencies. Rumor is he’s got a particular nonprofit organization in his cross hairs but his legislation is going to add red tape to every one, not just his current target.

Talk about using a bazooka to kill a fly…

  13. - chitownHV - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:20 pm:

    Shark Fin ban

  14. - Commonsense in Illinois - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:24 pm:

Tenaska…I mean just how many times can they try to pass the damn thing?

  15. - x ace - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:30 pm:

The Gambling Bill as “presently (?) proposed”.

Generally favor expanding, but think slots at tracks misguided because money should go directly to purses if horsemen are to benefit and not just big shots like Ducchosis and Churchill Downs. A impact fee on Casinos going directly to purses appears best way to help the little guys who are fighting to survive. Also, agree with Gov. on contribution ban and strict ethics provisions.

So kill Link and Lang’s legislation and get something better proposed and passed.

  16. - He Makes Ryan Look Like a Saint - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:49 pm:

Pension Bill (whatever it will be)

  17. - getting too old for this - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 2:54 pm:

How about the three amendments to HR 3637 that would force local governments to pay for teacher pensions by redistributing Corporate Personal Property Tax Replacement funds? When will the GA stop trying to push cities into hiking property or sales taxes to make up the difference?

  18. - retired - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 3:34 pm:

    SB1313 I earned it.

  19. - Wensicia - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 3:41 pm:

HB4085 and HB4117. Women’s medical choices shouldn’t be controlled by the state.

  20. - Southern Peggy R - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 4:06 pm:

    Silly anti-bullying bills.

  21. - LINK - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 4:16 pm:

Besides whatever Pension legislation “reform” comes up, SB1034 comes to mind due to its impact on individuals who own firearms. From adding a Social Security number to the FOID but also how minor accusations and infractions could lead to a complete loss of the right to own a firearm in Illinois.

  22. - Mad Brown - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 4:33 pm:

Why are anti bullying bills silly?

  23. - 1776 - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 5:48 pm:

Tenaska until they fork over $100 million for scholarships.

  24. - Southern Peggy R - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 7:23 pm:

I would think that anything that comes under “bullying” is already an infraction at most schools. We don’t need the state to tell local schools what to do. There are also anti-Christian concerns as well as concerns of outlawing unpopular speech. One bill, according to the AP, also involves parents in legal consequences that may befall their children.

  25. - Southern Illinois Voter - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 7:50 pm:

    SB 1313

  26. - Nurse - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 7:59 pm:

The bill I would like to see disappear is HB5849. The bill creates additional positions for nursing home reviews at $220,000 a year ( 2 positions). Currently, there are 5 levels of reviews that exist for the process including legal reviews. The state is short of cash and these positions are not necessary unless it is to hire more cronies. It has passed the House and is heading for the Senate. This additional level is not needed.

  27. - Arthur Andersen - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 8:10 pm:

    SB 1313.

  28. - EBCDIC - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 8:16 pm:

I would like to see the cigarette tax bill amended to include all tobacco related products as well as alcohol, sodas, and cosmetics. All of these cause increase in illness and increased expentures for treatment.

  29. - J. D. - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 8:34 pm:

I would like to see SB 1313 Killed.
The state agreed to our health care and I think they should leave it alone.

  30. - Nurse - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 8:38 pm:

Why would the Legislators vote for increased spending when were broke?

  31. - Just Me - Monday, May 21, 12 @ 10:33 pm:

yeah, ’cause picking on an awkward kid in high school is free speech. Gimme’ a break. My principal didn’t do anything while I was bullied because I was awkward and instead told me to “man up.” I wish an anti-bullying bill had been around then.
