I’m not so sure the Supreme’s will vote the way Madigan is bragging. Maybe it’s the optimist in me that wants to think they will see that the State has not done everything they can to fix the pension mess. So many good plans were presented to the GA and they were all ignored, because they didn’t put all the hurt on the State workers. I have to believe and hope the Supreme’s will have the integrity to rule that contracts do have to be honored.

I wonder how many of those Yes votes came from people who as candidates filled out union questionnaires pledging to never diminish benefits?

I’m afraid Madigan has considerable clout with the Democratic majority on the Supreme Court, esp. the three from the county of Cook.
