And as they speak, one of their elected colleagues is showing up at prison to begin his sentence today. Do you think any of them will mention Jesse Jackson Jr.? Anyone going to talk about hugging one another to show support, like he did a few years ago?
Will Daley mention the scandals damaging the Party? Will he talk about the corruption in Illinois politics?
Or will all these people pretend that nothing is wrong under their watch? That their fellow travelers now serving prison time were just common aberrations and that voters should continue to trust the Party brand and vote lockstep Democratic?
How about one of them showing us some courage and blasting what the Party has allowed to happen during the past decade? How about a little insult toward their ex-governor, now doing time? How about a freaking reality check?
If they want us to trust them with one of the largest US states, then it is time for them to earn that trust by honestly cleaning out the skeletons in their closets, dancing before us doing perp walks on television.
Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? Daley? Durbin? Anyone? Madigan?

Titles of speeches given:
Kaine: “How to never answer a question on Obama Care directly.”
Dick Durbin: “My friend Lois Lerner and how to use the IRS to destroy your opponents.”
Patty Quinn: “How to be relevant in politics. Really!”
Lisa Madigan; “How to make your own name in politics.”
Billy Daley: “I’m the good brother!”
Jessie White: “And to my seniors as long as you can do a back flip you can have a drivers license!”
P.S. no one talked about JJJ or Rod. They never wormed their way into the inner circle.
