Fun with numbers
Friday, Mar 28, 2014 - Posted by Rich Miller * From the Illinois News Network, a project of the Illinois Policy Institute…
* But you have to read between the lines to get a real idea what the actual timeline is…
* The beginning of August through the first week of February? You mean the totally dead time? C’mon. * The General Assembly was in session three days between January 1st and February 7th. The GA was in six days between August 1st and the end of December. So Quinn was actually in town more than twice as many days as most legislators? Who woulda thunk it?

But telling the story the way you outline it wouldn’t put Quinn in a bad light. And what would be the point of that?

===The Democrat governor===
I pretty much stop listening anytime I hear that.

Just building cover for “their guy” for when he wins. I don’t think he will be spending much time in Springfield once he finishes taking his sledgehammer to everything (/snark)

Poking fun at IPI reporting is no different than shooting sitting ducks … both are way too easy a target.

Great post. It’s awfully nice to see Rich keeping the media honest. He does it a lot, he does it very well, and he has a lot of visibility so his opinions get seen.

And, track how many media outlets take this INN propaganda for free and pass it on to their readers/listeners/viewers over the next few days. No fact checking, no alternative perspective, no context and no explanation to their readers of where it is coming from and the agenda said organization has. The IPI and INN are moral monstrosities and the people running and working for them have an ends-justify-the-means mentality that is purely sociopathic. They are a dangerous lot.

Excuse me. Can you tell me what this thread is about? My eyes glaze over and I falls asleep when someone mentions some fake institute.

New intern at IPI?
This is worse than most of their nonsense.

It would be worthwhile to see how many days he was in Springfield including that missing March to July gap.
iirc Quinn was traveling through the state quite a bit. It felt like more than normal, almost like he was avoiding pension negotiations and ginning up some positive stories by cutting ribbons and giving speeches as far from Springfield as possible.
