Wow, Terry seems to have gotten a pass every year since 2000.

  2. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:35 am:

Rappylicious and silly, but it’s all good. It’s friendly and memorable which is a very good thing for a challenger.

But how do you shoot in Gurnee and not work in a roller-coaster ride and metaphor?

  3. - John A Logan - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:36 am:

It breaks the clutter, but not in a good way.

  4. - The Captain - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:38 am:

We have elections way too often. Uncle.

  5. - OneMan - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:41 am:

You watch the whole thing so there is that. Actually kind of entertaining, not Tim Nieukirk entertaining, but kind of entertaining…

  6. - walker - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:45 am:

Fun. Would have liked to see the rapper.

  7. - Wacko - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:45 am:

I would suggest the “cat fight then love” that is on his YouTube channel… quality.

  8. - VanillaMan - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:49 am:

What I like best about it was seeing how effectively a white suburban middle aged Republican was able to harness the urban anger, disillusionment and the alienation of our young black youth’s music and poetry, and tie that to the challenges he faces in this election!

  9. - veritas - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 10:50 am:

    Just say no!

*Adds to another favorite campaign tune introduced at Bud Billken Day Parade, circa 2003…creating new “Favorite GOP Campaign Tunes Playlist.”* ;)

Video highlights his infectious, likable personality. This guy is the hardest working candidate I’ve run across in many elections.

  12. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 11:15 am:

Sorry. Obviously “Bud BillIken Day Parade….”

  13. - MrJM (@MisterJayEm) - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 12:30 pm:

I can’t get over the terrible judgment displayed in his font choice.

  14. - Knome Sane - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 12:52 pm:

Let me be the first to call it: Terry Link wins re-election in a landslide.

  15. - Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 1:12 pm:

Not going to shake the world, but it makes ya tap your feet. Watched it twice, no harm, no foul, will be easily remembered as easily as it will be forgotten…

  16. - A guy... - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 1:25 pm:

Above parity. It gets a healthy “pass”. He’s being disruptive in his messaging and it has a chance to move around virally. Good effort.

  17. - The Prince - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 2:32 pm:

I rank it right up there with the Chicago GOP’s “Call Me Maybe” and Edwin Eisendrath’s ads.

  18. - Don - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 2:45 pm:

Nice to hear some feedback. I wanted to share my story in a non-traditional way. I was in a band that featured long time John Mellencamp keyboardist who wrote and performed the song for me. He also did some mixing work for TuPac. Here is the full song. http://youtu.be/NP5UR6C9-E8

  19. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 2:54 pm:

–He also did some mixing work for TuPac.–

How is TuPac these days? I heard he and Elvis are working on something together.

  20. - Ela Observer - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 2:55 pm:

    It’s official now…
hip hop has jumped the shark

  21. - Knome Sane - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 3:36 pm:

Is the TuPAC registered with the State Board of Elections?

  22. - Joan P. - Wednesday, Jun 18, 14 @ 5:20 pm:

@ MrJM - “I can’t get over the terrible judgment displayed in his font choice.

It’s comic sans, no? Emphasis on the “comic”.
