The Governor is meeting with his cabinet today. That made me wonder - What is the latest with the Governor wanting his department heads to divert fair share dues away from the Comptroller’s Office and into separate escrow accounts within the agencies?
Not sure where it went, just a coworker who just became eligible to join the Union (and has).
Which reminds me of something that was never really mentioned during this EO and Fair Share fiasco. New hires are not allowed to join the Union for typically their first six months, referred to as the ‘probationary period’, during that time, however, they do pay Fair Share. So, if the EO is upheld and actually enforced it could have a bigger impact than what was initially stated.
I have a scary conspiracy theory that the plan is to fire all State employees on July 1 and rehire those that are deemed worthy as new hires shifting them all to Tier II, perhaps treated as new hires on probationary period, and maybe even shifted back to Step 1. If steps even exist after July 1. Just a theory.

Well Mr.Rauner….can you tell me the names of the ‘bad’ lawmakers? Names please. I belong to my county Farm Bureau and want to know who to support

=== @GovRauner left the first gathering of his Cabinet after making brief, “go team!” type speech. Trey Childress appeared to be taking over. ===
Childress started by telling the cabinet members that they will be expected to deflate their enemies, including AFSCME stewards … tires.
What! Were you expecting me to say FOOTBALLS.

Fair Share was still taken out of payroll today.
