Clearly the fiscal problem is still there. The best progress can be made by growing the economy.. Ideas? The contraction in public spending has horrible consequences. They are saying revenue will decline 2 billion from FY 15 to FY 16, exactly what the Governor’s office is saying. And Anonymous, FY 10 federal resources are really a very poor benchmark to measure against. At that time, the State was receiving billions of dollars of stimulus funds. Only a couple of days ago the Senate President reiterated yet again that our pension system is NOT in crisis.
