Poor guy sets out to go to the grocery store, but on the way he sees a liquor store and drops his grocery money there instead. His wife’s depressed but he gives her the only thing he has, a kiss, to chase her blues away. The booze, however, let’s him dream of a long gone childhood when “Life was Grand”. All the while the beat of the music sets the pace of life, always moving forward, with or without you.
Under Rauner, you’re on your own. Nobody there for a hand up. If you can’t cut it, can you please just die off to the side, so as not to cause me to have to ignore you? God bless America, land of the free, and home of the brave. We’re all riding a wave on a surfboard, trying not to fall off. Some surfboards are larger, much larger, than others, and their wake causes more and more turbulence, but hey, life life’s grand, while the ride lasts. Hang onto that surfboard, because if you fall, the water’s cold, deep, and unforgiving. God forbid you drown. It’s so hard to surf through cluttered waters. Ah, but for the good old days…
Good song choice Rich. It means different things to different people, but, like all good music, it makes you think.
(And if anyone wants to get a little trippy on a Friday morning, can I recommend “The Peanuts Gang Singing ‘Echoes’ by Pink Floyd”? https://youtu.be/lQnfL_ZWEAo)
Word, the brackets are exactly why I’m less than sanguine this morning…my lilies were trampled underfoot by Georgia State. I “put my money down”…”ain’t life grand”!
cool.
Peanuts? Pink Floyd? whoa. My house is ridin’ into Friday morning nice and dreamy on a sunless morning.
Memories of 1981 NOCC Guam. mmhm. (Couldn’t surf, too much coral.)
This, if I might be so bold, is better. A sidetracked trip to the grocery store makes me think of a 70 Bonneville rag-top, and, of course, the good old days.

For some reason that I’ve forgotten, I thought I didn’t like this band.
I was wrong.
Good stuff, Rich.

NL, PS, geez, it’s early yet. Like Ulysses Everett McGill would say, consider the lilies of the g-d field.
Look at me for example: After first day action, I’m sitting pretty tied at 1,330,309 place in the CBS Sports bracket challenge.
If Harvard makes that last shot against NC, I’m in a tight spot.

Need some upbeat stuff on a gloomy Friday morning. Toe-tapping music is a plus today!

That is some serious good stuff.
Thanks. Seriously.

Thanks, Rich. Life is grand. How many catastrophes have we averted? I know I’m lucky to be here this morning, or should I say mornin’.

Thanks Rich, needed this after the carnage of bracket being ripped apart and destroyed by those Number 14 seeds yesterday.

Diet Yonder since Jeff Austin Departed. Still a cool performance. JAB is ripping it up! Glad to see you have some decent taste in music though Rich!
