The FL Supreme Ct ruling is bad news for Speaker Boehner. The ruling is also a reminder that the GOP has no more scruples than Democrats when it comes to flagrant gerrymandering.
Amanda Vinicky tweeted that there’s a technical error with the House amendment to add employee salaries to the one-month budget Senate Bill 2040. Is the House just going to let that go?
“Rep. Andersson says the 30-day budget doesn’t move the state forward into a full-year budget: “It delays us from that four-year budget.”" What 4-year budget?
I agree with Rep Hays. They should stay there until there is a passed budget. And without pay too. They can live on ramen noodles as well as everyone else affected by this mess.

I invented the hashtag several years ago. Combo of Twitter and Illinois.

Does anyone know where I can find the livestram? Blueroomstream isn’t showing and the ilga website is laggy.

“…legislation supported by Rauner and introduced by GOP Rep. CD Davidsmeyer for a continuing appropriation for state worker salaries….”
Has this been actually introduced yet?

Thank you for clarifying, Rich. For the life of me, I couldn’t figure it out. I thought maybe “This Week in Illinois”.

Great tweet, Rich, on synonyms for “minion.” But didn’t you forget “mushroom?”

That definition involves a banned word.
- Just Me - Thursday, Jul 9, 15 @ 2:30 pm:
For the House Democrats to complain that the House Republicans are minions is truly laughable.

SB2040 HA 1

SB2040 only passed the 2nd reading so it isn’t a done deal. I assume it goes back to the Senate for approval of the amendment?

Great, now Rauner will hold a press conference later accusing Madigan of cheating on Shirley.
