But your fans would love it and you could prove your clout….KC nearly had the whole AL team before the media spanked them, now they partner with the Cards for the last two spots. I think all those tech savvy folks that follow you would be very impressed with your efforts.

Couldn’t the Cards just cut out the middle man and hack the MLB website?

Just voted for Tulowitzki. Eff the Cards!

waiting for “UPDATE X1: You Know Who responds…”
- Commander Norton - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:10 pm:
Quit carryin’ water for the Cards.
- A guy - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:12 pm:
Um, sorry. We’re currently without a Cardinal in Chicago, but we expect within a year to have our Archbishop elevated. Until then, No Cardinal support from this Guy.
- Rahm'sMiddleFinger - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:14 pm:
I just voted 20 some times for Kershaw and Dozier.
- illini - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:14 pm:
Sorry guys, but I have already voted numerous times for the Cards on the ballot, and once again today for the last position. When you have some of the best players in MLB why not have them on the roster!
- Anonymous - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:14 pm:
As a Cubs fan this post compelled me to vote for someone other than Martinez . . . .
- 4 percent - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:15 pm:
Why promote voting for a team out of state!! I forgot, we need reforms so that IL can me more like Missouri! LOL
- 4 percent - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:16 pm:
This prompts me to go and vote against the Cards
- Under Influenced - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:19 pm:
Mooooose!
- illini - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:22 pm:
@4 percent - I live 30 minutes from Busch Stadium, and 7 or 8 hours from Chicago. Enough said.
- All Star - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:23 pm:
This is a sham election! Every one of these would be a sham vote!
- Mason born - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:25 pm:
Mr. Brown I don’t think this is working how you envisionedit. Go Cards
- Anonymous - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:28 pm:
A cause that I’m guessing the spokesman for both Madigan and a Rauner would agree on.
- Wordslinger - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:32 pm:
Might be better to start a defense fund for the CardBoys in the front office.
- Stuff Happens - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:33 pm:
I didn’t understand any of this since it didn’t appear to involve hockey players.
The droppin’ of all ‘gees’ in the emails made me laugh, though.
- Oswego Willy - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:34 pm:
Ok, let’s say… I (gasp) vote for a Cardinal, on purpose.
As a Cubs apologist, how do reconcile this decision. I mean I’d have to own it. Granted, if I veto the idea of voting for a Cardinal, that’s a decision I’m making, I can’t blame that on anyone, amiright? It’s like I’m in the trick bag; I choose to vote for a Cardinal or I choose not to vote for a Cardinal. I mean, it’s really tough.
I don’t know if I’m prepared to own a decision like that, it goes against a core belief, and I’ll compromise, I think the Cards play fundamental baseball, but to attach myself, to a decision like that…
- Concerned - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:41 pm:
I voted “present.”
- illini - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 12:48 pm:
Just to set the record straight @4 percent - I do live in Southern Illinois, yet have always been a fan of the Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks not to mention the teams of my alma mater. I can be a fan of the Sox, but never the Cubs.
Good comments Wordslinger and Willy - lets see what happens! Have to leave for the rest of the day.
Rich - thanks for mixing up the postings to include some things not nearly so heavy, complicated or nuanced as much of this blog.

He’s probably still upset about Bill Murray’s comments.

I always thought that Steve Brown was an all-right guy - and know I know he is.
Vote early (ends at 3pm) and vote often, for Cardinals Carlos Martinez!

Close this thread now–it will be next to impossible to top MisterJayM,OW and Concerned’s posts.

Looks like it is goin’ just fine, but time will tell. Wonder if Capt Fax has trackin’ software to tell how many voters click through his site?
Wonder if he will tell us if he does?
- A guy - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 1:18 pm:
Every time someone brings up a neighboring state for anything…the Dems pounce all over it. Now they’re asking for help with a Missouri issue.
In the official box score it’s ruled/ ERROR. E-1
- Joe M - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 1:24 pm:
Carlos Martinez moved from 2nd place into a tight lead overnight over Johnny Cueto.
Things get personal with Cardinal fans when it comes to Johnny Cueto. Look for a surge of Martinez votes today.
- Not quite a majority - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 1:27 pm:
Thanks Rich and Steve. I always forget to do these things
Go CARDS!
- Buddy - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 1:29 pm:
I just gave 20 more votes for Cueto. Cards won’t win the central.
- Motambe - Friday, Jul 10, 15 @ 1:30 pm:
Rich - born and raised a Cards fan. But when I lived in Chicago for two long, long winters I rooted for the White Sox, attended their games, and got to know a few players and Bill Veeck. Does that help? Would love to see a Cards and White Sox World Series!
