Monday, Sep 28, 2015 - Posted by Rich Miller

* The Senate was originally scheduled to return to town on October 6th. But, as I told subscribers earlier today, those plans were changing. And now they’re official

That’s the same day the House is scheduled to be back in town.

State government operated for a long time without electricity. Legislators got it too good now days. Quill feathers and bottles of ink can be shared on the House floor too. It will be fun to do voice votes on the floor, instead of just pushing buttons.

  22. - sal-says - Monday, Sep 28, 15 @ 4:10 pm:

    Hi, Rich.

That schedule! As you can see those characters in the GA continue to stall and oppose progress in The Governot’s Turnaround Agenda which will benefit of those not in need.

Just more of the same non-governing, as we’ve all gotten use to over the last 9 months. We continue to believe that the way to get attention in IL is to destroy the fabric of the State.

    With warmest personal regards,
    ck

  45. - Any Mouse - Monday, Sep 28, 15 @ 7:09 pm:

Question: What event will actually force a deal?

Is it running out of cash, or that vendors quit advancing goods and services?

If the state is taking goods and services from vendors without a budget is this borrowing without authorization?

It the mutual strategy to wait until something much more major breaks and see where the blame is apportioned? (Not that things aren’t already broken.)

I find the lack of seriousness amazing.
    /end rant/

Here’s the plan: Sometime around the end of October the Governor will invite the legislative leaders in for a meeting. The Governor will say that if they pass his turnaround agenda he will be ready to work with them on the budget. The leaders leave the meeting and report that there’s no progress on the budget.
