Rauner raw audio
Monday, Jan 4, 2016 - Posted by Rich Miller * As we’ve already discussed, Gov. Rauner spoke with reporters today. I thought he handled himself well about the holiday “controversy” over his not answering questions about his whereabouts. As I said before, though, this is becoming a pattern. He needs to realize it. He also said that he wouldn’t demand that all of his proposals from his local government consolidation be included in one bill. That’s encouraging. Anyway, listen to the Q&A for yourself…

This guy is an utter disappointment. Why run for public office if you aren’t interested in doing the job???

I just hunk the he Governor sounded pretty reasonable. Why should Springfield bail out Chicago and CPS if there is no reform? What good would it do to just keep doing what we are doing? I have always said in order to fix government in both Chicago and the State politicians have to do what will be very unpopular. Raising taxes, consolidating government and cutting spending which will mean higher health insurance and pension costs for public employees. If it was easy they would have done it already. Our cowardly, lifetime politicians would rather sweep things under the rug than take tough votes. There is a good reason why term limits are so popular with bipartisan majorities- the political class has failed Illinois.

How is cutting prevailing wage and dismantling collective bargaining saving monies? What is the ROI?
As far as hitting all the Raunerbot talking points, you have them down cold, lol

Jump on it mike the governor said he don’t like paying his fair share of taxes push the millionaire tax the people voted for take his words out of context

Next week, Rauner “celebrates” his one year anniversary.
Two obvious questions:
1) What are his biggest accomplishments?
2) Is the state better off than it was a year ago?

Oswego Willy thanks for the shout out in you last comments of 2015 attributing 3 of my quotes you were thinking about.
Obviously changing collective bargaining and prevailing wage would save money because labor costs for governments would go down or at least stay flat. Not a difficult concept and with health insurance costs and pension costs going up it is necessary. What are the democrats solution to the budget? We have no idea LOL yourself

People, trade union people, make too much money? Ok, what are the REAL numbers.
Show me the savings. That’s whsts comical and why I consistently laugh at your regurgitated Raunerite Talking Points because that’s all you have, lol
