Thank a Loving Savior. I’ve begun to hate Fridays. Of course the announcement I’m fearing would come out of the ILRB so maybe I’m not off the hook yet.
What with Rauner’s anti-union agenda (front and center thanks to yesterday’s spectacular all-day show) I’m surprised Rauner isn’t issuing Executive Orders ordering every single PSA out of the union, effective immediately.
One way to break the union ranks is to start ordering folks out of it. Due process? Forget it. Start chipping away at the ranks.
I’ve always said (from a liberal Democrat perspective) that the best approach to dealing with conservative Republicans is to just keep such Republicans talking. More often than not they will bury themselves with their own words. So I wish the Governor had some more speeches today.
Bruce plays “The Quiet Game” with himself, only using charades to communicate with everyone. Diana tells her Crisis Manager about her newest image idea. Lance tweets pictures of kittens and yarn to distract from Bruce’s misspeaks. Goldberg is invited to join Toastmasters, “ck” updates her email’s auto-reply with new talking points. Comedy, 54 minutes
I hope he just keeps opening his mouth and insertiung both of his feet. We made CNN headline News this morning for finding the money to pay lottery winners but nothing for MAP college kids. Not in depth coverage for sure (said the legislators couldn’t come to an agreement on a budget since last July, and didn’t call out Rauner), but the more this makes national news, the worse it will be for the clown car running this anti-worker show (IMHO)
Remember, Friday ain’t over until it’s over. Happy Hour and weekends do not start until we know the Gov is not going to hit the state with a Friday evening announcement.
–Put your lighters away kids. There will be no encores.–
I bet you are really scary with a knife. Don’t even know you’ve been cut.
I was kind of hoping for a Sid Vicious “My Way” to cap yesterday’s memorable performance.
I prescribe for the governor a Snickers and a long nap.
Enjoy Brady v Manning on Sunday. It’s certainly the last time we’ll see those warriors go at one another, and quite possibly the last time we’ll see Peyton compete, ever.
Paraphrasing and reversing what someone here said a few days ago, don’t mistake lack of activity for lack of achievement!

Just love the hate here towards an elected official who has been trying for over a year to correct the wreck that Illinois has become due to Quinn, Cullerton and Madigan. They are the ones who ran the ship aground and refuse to change.

I think we all could use a break from that poor excuse for a governor.

Still curious to see what they reached an accord on. From the later statements last night, there is something they see eye to eye on.

Fake Governor Schedule:
Daily Public Schedule: Friday, January 22, 2016
Governor Bruce Rauner and Rich Goldberg will not issue statements today, giving the Governor’s office its best day of the week.

So no threats in front of cameras?
No watching Gov. Rauner digging homely into an unneeded hole?
No ruining his own successes by… speaking?
Maybe it’s best Bruce Rauner “sits out a few plays”…
