Some interesting contrasts in the graphics. Think I saw we had a higher unemployment rate but at the same time more people per population working than average.
I thought the state of the state couldn’t get any worse, but much to my dismay it has. Came home from the office just now to warm up a bowl of squirrel soup. Was just about to butter up 5-6 ritz crackers to eat with my soup, when I opened up the Cap fax. But what to my wondering eyes should appear was the decision to move production to Mexico. And it gets better. Was going to sneak a couple Oreos out of the old cookie jar…… Threw the soup and crackers down the garbage disposal. Gave the last of the Oreos to Scruffy the dog.
I, old Blue Dog Dem, have eaten my last Oreo, Ritz and Graham cracker. It doesn’t get much worse.
Impressive that Illinois ranks in the top ten with some of the lowest funding in the nation. That is a PROFIT for Illinois taxpayers and school personnel should be REWARDED. That is right, run Illinois like a business.

Bruce is going to need at least a half dozen prairie chickens tomorrow.

He needs to get everyone to start drinking now, so when shoes are thrown during his speech, their aim is off.

‘Illinois is SOOO broke, we can’t even afford to spell it correctly in our infographic!’

Rauner should first tell everyone that he wants them to come to the Mansion afterwards to meet Rich Miller and have a beer.

It needs music to go along with it.
I recommend “Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die” by Willie Nelson.

That first line of the infographic is an irrefutable indictment of our state’s financial history.

The real question for tomorrow…what letter will Bruce Rauner drop from his words to speak down to us cow pokes in Springfield?

That’s a fun visual. Need to add our declining grade from rating agencies!

So the population left even though the tax rate decreased? Doesn’t that punch a hole in Rauner’s argument for keeping the tax rate steady?
- Mama - Tuesday, Jan 26, 16 @ 12:54 pm:
Rich, are any of the numbers or graphs in the State of the State Infographic factual?

Sorry there ARE other ways to turn around Illinois. Nothing justifies the human suffering being brought about by Rauner.

That is the perfect song for Rauner’s BS State of the State address.

Honeybear, are you going to the “State of ‘OUR’ State Rally” at the capitol tomorrow?

They need to fix their education funding component.
I don’t believe that Illinois spends $8.14 million on education.
Not yet, anyway.

Wow - the legislators really need to be contributing more towards their pensions! The have the lowest funded ratio by far. Bunch of hypocrites.
