Did anyone see (Illinois native) Margo Price on SNL this past weekend? I am not much of a honky-tonk fan, but man… more performance like that and she may reach the upper echelon of music with her own CapFax morning music video
Thanks Rich, a great version of the song. I am one of your few subscribers who actually listened to the song in the summer of 67 on one of the great albums of all time, Sgt. Peppers. Geez, whoever thought we would be this old.
NEWSFLASH - the state’ neccesity of a tax increase was self-evident factually before Rauner was elected - it didnt matter who was going to be governor. However Rauner misbelieved that it wasnt true, that he in his own mind was the person who could prevent that. After spending millions of his own money he, alas, discovers that he intentionally mislead himself by his own beliefs and those of others without any direct knowledge. So here we are. The truth has been discovered like rotten moldy lunchmeat in the back of the fridge, how did that get there and whose fault is it? At this point all of his options are bad, just pinch your nose and deal with the unpleasantness, this extended disorder is costing taxpayers more while avoiding reality.
Congratulations Greg. Your birthday reminds me of my favorite quote from Mark Twain:
“I saw men whom thirty years had changed but slightly; but their wives had grown old. These were good women; it is very wearing to be good.”

This song has come to mind more than once over the last couple years: https://youtu.be/RRu2×5HsuGY?t=1m9s
“Good advice given often all too often gets old / And since I wasn’t listening, I was made example of
They say that if you don’t change where you are going / You’re gonna end up right where you’re headed.”

@ Baise - that was a great album. And remember when we said not to trust anyone over 30? Now we are, and have been for a long time!
