Sorry to be cynical, but I read this as optimism they can appear ready to compromise and sound convincing when they say they tried so hard and “because Madigan.”
At least the Gov is wearing a tie today. For the veterans? For his following statement? Bring the gravitas. Because today is not a good day, and I see little to smile about.
House Republicans. Nice picture. If you really wanted to compromise you’d publically proclaim your intentions to vote on Budget without a new accompanying Turnaround Agenda- and you would have voted Yes on the override of HB580. No one says it has to be Madigans budget.
