ah, Rauner. you know that Dan Proft stands for more than your anti union thing, right? thought you were staying away from social agenda issues but I guess you aren’t as you are clearly with the anti choice crowd.
I can’t figure out why Rauner would do this. From a strictly campaign mechanics point of view there are a number of reasons to use Liberty Principles in the primary, far fewer in the general. The only thing I can think of that makes any sense is they want to use Liberty Principles to blow the caps in some key races so that the Governor’s wealthy allies like Griffin and Uhilein could contribute unlimited sums directly to those candidate committees but even that feels like a little bit of a stretch.
Surprised by this, other than maybe the Gov’s IE I wasn’t expecting to see state IE’s play much of a part in the fall races.
Ok one other possibility is that this will be used in the Comptroller’s race, but still in a race and a year where female voters are expected to play a key role it seems odd to outsource the spending to a group known for a very conservative social agenda so this seems like a stretch also.
given all the headlines of the Trump effect on down ballot races the R side is coming together for survival. it make bite them, but that’s what they are doing.
Oops… I forgot a very big one:
3. Give a big kiss to all of the vendors whom supplied goods and services to the state a big kiss (no money) for FY16 & FY17 too if there is no budget to pay them.
Someone asked why $ to Proft?
Besides state of the art craftsmanship we are guessin’ there must have been a night on one of those pricey, whack job cruises where the boys all got frisky and Danny has some fonecam footage ready to flash home.

It seems like PACs are the only ones benefiting from the Turnaround Agenda. Maybe more social welfare groups should transform themselves into PACs. /s

Proft did so well in the Dunkin and McCann races, why not?

Wonder what the ratio is of Rauner household donations to real charity groups vs. Dan Proft’s political charity groups?

Like him or not the man knows how to use his resources for speech. Others with resources can do the same if they truly believe in their cause.

Free speech is a prerogative of the super-rich?

We worried that Proft’s craftsmanship might be lost in the general …this is a relief.

So tired of Rauner trying to buy elections with his money. He should be recalled and super paks banned!
